Alrite, i need to take my rear axle of to replace the carrier but whats every1 using to take the locknut off? Dont wanna buy the proper tool from service honda as it would take forever to arrive and its not a tool i would get a lot of use out of for the price

big pipe wrench just use a rag so the teeth dont chew up the nut to bad and your going to need snap ring pilers.

I got a 24" adjustable wrench for 19$ a couple years ago and it works perfectly fine, I believe an 18" will also fit but not sure. It's always handy to have a few big adjustables around, their cheap and once you get to nuts/bolts that big you shouldn't be hurting them using an adjustable (rounding them off). But I wouldn't use a pipe wrench, it'll make your stuff start too look really ugly, I did my first time with a pipe wrench and regret every minute of it...

I bought a 2 wrench set (45mm + 56mm) for $20.00. The are made specifically to fit the stock axle and brake rotor lock nuts and can be used with 1/2 and 3/4 drive tools.
