Alright I have stock shocks on my 06 yfz 450 and they are so low that they bottom out on every small jump. What I'm wondering is if it just need a refill in nitrogen or it needs to be re-valved. The reason I think it might need to be re-valved is because I've been running it like this for about 1 1/2 years. So any information would be great. Thanks a lot.

I would assume they only need the oil changed and recharged with nitrogen. Ask Colby at C&D racing; he can help you out.

well my local yamaha shop said that they would refill them for 10 bucks a shock. Is that a reasonable price?

just to re-fill the nitrogen sure, but by this point, you need the oil changed also. also, have you ever adjusted the preload, or are you a heavy guy? both could be the reson they sit low unless they used to be fine and its gotten worse over time

no Im 15 and I weigh 130 pounds. But the guy I bought it from weighed 125 so that might be why its tuned so low. So once I get them refilled I'll mess with the spring rates.

They may be worn out beyond repair. The suspension fluid breaks down after awhile and attacks the aluminum bodies. If you ride alot you need to service your shocks at least once a year.
