Parking brake adjustment?

What's up everyone! I'm new to the forum hopefully you guys can help me out. I just replaced the rear rotor and rotor flange on my 400 and when I installed the new pads I noticed I had no room to get the caliper back on the rotor. I compressed the piston all the way in and still have no room. Do I have to adjust the parking brake or something? If so how do I do this?

I'm actually amazed you still have the park brake connected. Most people get tired of the brake drag and constant adjustment and install a block off.

Adjust the park brake cable all the way in at the handle bars and that should allow you to separate the caliper enough to fit over the rotor.

Thanks! I just actually just bought the bike so all this stuff is new to me. I will look into the parking brake block off.
