I bought the Blackline pro Peg nerfs, they fit like crap, but I really liked them so I got them on good and now they work and look great. Decided to give them another shot, and i really liked the Black Bumper they have, so i ordered it and just got it like half an hour ago. Went to go put it on, and ohhhhh boy.....I don't know what to say....My only guess is that they are making these things this poorly on purpose. You'd almost have to be to have these things measure up this bad. It's like they have Stevie Wonder assembling them by hand. I got it on, but that's it. No more. All their adds should read "Bolts included, will require some bending and an Iron Will"

Id call them and let them know that you are not happy and it took some elbow grease to get them on.

I sent them a polite complaint e-mail about my Pro Peg nerfs, a year ago and never heard a word from them. I don't believe they think it's a serious problem or don't even care.

Yeah I figured as much, I guess I'm really more at fault since i had the same problem with my nerfs, I have the bumper on, it looks good now, I'm just going to avoid them in the future, it's a shame though cuz they have some nice looking stuff.

I got an AC bumper for my daughter's 250ex, it fit perfectly. A friend of mine has the pro peg nerfs on his 02 400ex and no problems with them either. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

My brothers AC blackline nerfs fit porrly but like everyone or most after some bending they fit. My AC racing front bumper fits terrible. I took it off when I was working on my quad and tried to put it back on again when I was done and thats when i said... never again with AC.

yah that happens when you buy the cheap stuff. Stay away from ac and dg. they are both junk imo. I have the dg alloy bumper and it was a bi%^& to put on, and it lost its shiny finish after one ride. The only brands i would buy from would be rath and pro armor.

ac=awesomely crappy
dg=dollar general

its mass production. same things with cars, trucks, boats, planes, power wheels, everything. never will a part be the same. of all the race bikes ive had nothing "bolts right up" but what if its not the part? no two quads are the same either. im a fabricator by trade and this stuff happens. if its "inches" off then ok call for blood. but alittle rubber hammer never hurt anybody.

Great I have heard about "Dollar General" but I thought AC was half decent, a lot of guys have there stuff on this forum I've got nerfs,bumper and skid plate on the way :(

Man it took me an hour to fit my ac bumper on. All the bolt holes were off by a half inch. I had to get out the dremel and elongate the holes where needed. Then it turned out slightly crooked so i had to grind ome more.:scary: I dont think id buy Ac again..:ermm:

The DG V-lite bumper I had had a eighth of an inch for a gap it went on okay but I sold it to buy a Roll bumper and that fits like a glove no gaps or drilling anything. Sometimes it pays to buy a bit more expensive things.

I must have had good luck with my AC parts (bumper/grab bar) they fit tight but well.

The grab bar would not go on the sub frame directly pushing from the back of the quad forward, so i slid it on where the sub frame narrows connecting to the main frame then slid it back, fit perfectly.

I did the same general thing with the bumper, pushed it past the bolt holes where it was narrower, then pulled it back into place. Had them both on in ~10-15 minutes.

I have another bad bumper story. It took me an hour of fitting to get mine on and after the holes were elongated about 1/2 inch thats alot of material to remove!!

haha that is by far the best 1 for AC I have heard because hats what you have to do to get their parts on.

I had to bend the mounts all around more my bumper to get it on and my nerfs needed like bent and crap to get them to fit and so did the pegs to fit on the mounting brackets. I am going to start buying rath parts on my next quad unless these ac parts fall apart.

Thank god to hear this about the nerfs! I just took off my motor mounts to polish them up, I put it back on, but the darn nerfs wouldn't go back on. I felt like an idiot, and gave up. I got my dad out, and it took him a good our just to get the bolt threw the ac nerfs, the washer, and the motor mount. It just fit like crap! And the instructions sucked too.

yah, they built poor quality parts, and the blackline finish comes right off. you'd think theyd fix the fitment issues but i doubt they will.:ermm:

When i bought my AC racing propeg nerfs they went on pretty easy. Now after 6 to 8 months the black powder coat is horrible and is missing in huge spots. Also the peg mounts that bolt to the frame are flimsy as hell and my nerfs are bent down so bad its not even funny. Heres an illistration lol.

Left side ---> / \ <---- right side

hahaha i wish Rath made nerfs for the 400ex.
