I finally am getting my engine back together.

88 mm 10:1 piston
Stage 2 hotcams
450R carb
CT racing full exhaust
Uni filter w/ open aluminum airbox.

I know I was at 30 hp with just the pipe. I had it dynoed. So I was thinking with the piston, carb, cam and exhaust i should maybe be close to 35 hp.

also any jetting tips or good starting points would be appreciated.

thanks to everyone on this forum for giving me advice and information.

dont know about the horsepower. but for the carb jetting i would say 50-53 pilot and around 170-180 main should b a good starting point. also put the needle clip in the 4th slot from top and dial it in from there

Your probably sitting right around 30hp with your setup if you tune it in pretty good,no more.:devious:

When you bore and engine like that, does it become less durable than it was when it was stock? Can you still ride it on the trail too? Or does it basically become a race bike?

its still a good trail quad and reliable but the next bore size will be needing resleeved

Im at 30 with just the pipe. My brother has a car chassis dyno, that's before the piston, cam and 450 carb.

Should be about 35-36 at the tires.

Jetting, I would sugggest 48 pilot, needle in the middle and a 175-185 main. A/F screw out 2 turns.

FYI--I'm running a stock 48 pilot w/my setup and it works great from sea level to 2000ft.
