over heating & blown headgaskets

the quad over heats within 3 minutes of run time, high horse power drag bike, also blows head gasket every emediatly if nitrous is sprayed. please help

what gaskets are you using.

lean maybe? it sounds like its overheating cause its too lean and then when you spray the nitrous its creating an extremely lean mixture. just a guess though

tuning isnt right.

too much timming or bad fuel.

timing hasnt been advanced, only stage II cam,112 octane brand new fuel<<<<is that bad ??? yess possibly too lean, any other imput , please help.

that sounds like a lean problem to me. whats the size of your nitrious shot?

yes 25 hp shot, were at 15hp now and same thing, were gonna try replacing studs , its possible there stretched

Even nitrous quads I've seen dont stretch the studs really!? Definitely sounds like an ignition problem and/or a jetting issue. Need more details on this motor and what's being done.

Replacing studs wont do much if you dont fix the problem that caused the stretched studs in the first place (if that's even the problem)

motors been rebuilt 3 times which means stud nuts have been retorqued 4 times, could very easily been stretched, im gonna richen it up a little

Sounds like you guys are just shooting in the dark here... What does the plug look like... again need more details on this motor, or no one will be able to help.

plug is a dark grey, when the head gasket blows its extremely wet and black motor is the 450 in my sig, it over heats without nitrous, 3mins tops and blows smoke out radiator, when we first sprayed in we sprayed all day blew after about 3-4 hrs. no when we spray it blows emediatley
