What do you guys think is better for MX, a no-link or a CR500 link set up ?

I have both. Both work extremely well. I give slight advantage to CR500 linkage in the rough stuff and big jumps.

How do they compare to the stock link?

There is no comparison between them.... Stock link is very inferior in every way.

I'm going to buy a no-link or CRF450 link PRP frame this fall, I want the best rear suspension set up for MX. I need something that can handle big jumps and does'nt beat the crap out of me in the woops. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both set ups ?

Don't you think it depends on how well the shock is setup in any of the options?

What do you mean you have a KOQ and a fox one ??? Are you talking about a stock frame with the factory shock mount and just a no-link swingarm ??

The CR500 link is better. Back in the day that is what ALL the pro's used. When I sold my Laegers Pro-Trax it didn't bring as much money because it had the no-link frame and swinger. Nobody wanted that setup...

Our KOQ is on a stock geometry frame with the bottom link mount removed, it uses a 13 5/8 inch shock, and we are getting almost 13 inches of wheel travel, this is the best by far, system we have ever used.

Did LSR ever make a CR500 link frame/swinger combo?

Trust me, I have had 3 no-link set-ups and 3 cr500 link set-ups. Both are awesome, however cr500 link is slightly superior! The only advantage to no link is in gncc where clearance can be an issue! Both set-ups are top notch. Axis shocks will make the difference also!!! Narrow frames will also be a large improvement over stock geometry!!

This maybe a dumb question but does the cr500 setup require a specialty frame to fit the linkage or will it bolt into a stock frame with the cr500 link , shock , and swingarm?

No, you need to buy a aftermarket frame.
