i love my asv lever.. just not too crazy about the color.. its more pink than red. in my opinion, 400ex's already have a pretty hard clutch pull, and i would stay away from shorties. heres the best pic i have.

the thing is my buddy has a shorty and it shifts smooth as silk and he has the stock clutch and springs

those ASV dont look that short. I would like to see a better picture of the red. I'm going to get some ASV levers and i'm thinking red or black. I love the way the red looks but you say in person its more of a pinkish

i suppose it depends on what you're used to. i just don't think i would want one for long trial rides, which is all i really do.

that makes sense pipeless, and i do quite a bit of trail riding but i just seem to like the feel of it better when i drive his against mine it seems i can shift faster to but mine now is the hardest shifting atv ive driven

does the clutch lever make the difference in how it feels??...
my 400ex is stock as far as that goes and honestly after riding for a while i get tired of usin the damn thing...i thought it was just cuz i havent rode in years but i guess it could be just a PITA!

asv makes shorties too. and foxhondarider, heres a different pic of it not mounted. if i could do it again i'd get black in a heartbeat. the red just doesn't match honda red at all.

regular aftermarket levers (asv included) won't really make the pull any easier, but asv's do have an adjustable reach, and the action is a little bit smoother with the ball bearings.

I run the GT Thunder 8plate clutch and a ASV shorty and have no problems. \/\/\/\/\/

I have a MSR AOF clutch perch and lever and I have to say it's pretty smooth shiffting, you can adjust it to whatever you feel like pulling on.

I have a set of ASV F3 levers and they are built well and can take a beating.

if you want a really nice lever i'd go with a rtc clutch lever/perch, i hear they are the best of all of the comps
