i recently installed a complete clutch setup(including new cable) for my cousin and now the clutch refuses to dis-engage. initially i suspected that it was a simple matter of them sticking and just neeeded to break free but, that doesnt seem to be the case. anyone have an idea as to what's going on with this thing?

thanks in advance

make sure the clutch cable is adjusted correctly. i like a 1/4 to 1/2" of free play in the clutch lever. if its not an adjustment issue then im afraid you might have to go back inside the cover and double check your work. if a couple discs are just temporarily sticking you could try to start it in gear with the clutch lever pulled and see if that breaks them free. good luck

What clutch kit did you use? Does it have Heavy Duty Clutch Springs? Did you adjust the cable at both ends?

it is the EBC DRC heavy duty kit. i've adjusted the cable every which away, still no luck. the clutch pull feels fine. as it should.

I had the same kit with the exact same problem. I ended up going back to the stock clutch springs and adjusting the cable nearily all the way out and It runs perfectly now.

That's a common mistake. It could be your issue.
