2000 400ex stage1 hot cam, stock head pipe fmf megamax slipon with 9 discs and core installed, k&n filter & powerlid, going to use a jets r us kit.

What jets should I use to get into the ball park.
Thanks for your help.

what is your elevation? that is one of the main things you left out.

the instructions with the jet kit should tell you what jet to run with what elevation, with or without aftermarket pipe and with or w/o airbox lid.

i have basically the same setup as you have, and i run a 170 main jet at sea-level.

good luck.

OK I decided to open up the carb and see what it had in it, 148 main and 40 pilot 1 1/2 turns on the screw.

Changed to a 152(only jet I had on hand) 40 pilot 2 turns on the screw (solved my idleing prob.) noticeable gain in power espc. in the low end(could be the jet could be the slipon) plug looks good it's hard to do chops here without getting arrested, I suppect it may still be one or two jets lean but it will have do until we go somewhere I can do a propper plug chop.

buy the way elevation is about 900 ft. and go as high as 1800 some places we ride at and the temp here today is around 50 degrees if anyone has any other suggestions please feel free to add them, thank you.
