300ex top speed

Whats the top speed of a 300ex stock?? doesn't it go over 60?? what mods could i do to it to get it to go about 70-mph maybe?? I want a WB e series PROmeg pipe with header for next spring and want more power in all ranges and topspeed. any suggestions? i/m mt through AIM plz i don't check my PM box. thanks alot you guys.: justin

It will do 52-55 or so stock, you would have to do a lot to get it to go over 70, I have a 14 tooth front sprocket and it will do about 60 now, although I kinda wish I would have left it at a 13 tooth since I hardly ever get it up that fast and I ride in trails mostly.

To go 70mph you would need a 15t front sprocket, 36 rear sprocket, 22 inch tires, and a bumped up rev limiter. I am not even sure that a 15t front sprocket would fit if you had a case saver. Even if you did all of that you would have pretty bad bottom end power.

Is it possible to achieve 70mph on a 300EX? Just think about it, you would have to gain 15 mph. Thats alot.

of course it is possible, a full 395 kit with enough gearing will go like 75-80

anythings possible, there are 15t c/s sprockets now and 36 rears, definetly 22 in rears so it could actually be kinda simple, if all u run is for long straight lines...

i have 18" holeshot mx's and with my 400 hitting the stock revlimiter in 5th gear , my friend beside me in his truck claims i was going 68. but i dont know if its that fast. i also have an x-6 exhaust for all the people who think it makes a difference on the top end even when you hit the revlimiter lol.

gearing and tires make the top end.. I could have a 390 kit on my 300 and not change any gearing and probably still hit 55.............................

how relaiable is a 390 kit? i want cheap kit mayb. money wise but, nice kits with no hassle. faster faster! i do almost everything but dunes cuz god knows there are no dunes in CT. want mopre power and maybe some more speed. i might want to take a 250x and put in a 350x motor. but i need money and thoses things. keep posting. thanks alot! :devil :devil :devil :devil :D :p :blah

also i need website and link so post them. should i do anything else to my 300. i want reliable but im not doing suspension right now cuz i weigh 130 and im 5 10 so no mods to that yet. im going to stiffin eack one 1 notch for now.
