Hey pappy, I am going to be sending you the parts in the morning that we talked about powdercoating (through pm). I just wanted to make this thread while I had some extra time.

Todd Adamson Rochelle, Illinois
815-978-3586

Parts sent:

Frame---candy apple green

Subframe/subframe brace- - - candy apple green

Piece that covers the rear brakeline (in a bag)---candy apple green

Steering stem/bag with parts for steering stem---high gloss white

Oil tank---high gloss white

Engine mounts---candy apple blue

In the frame there are still the seals in the spot for the steering stem. I wasnt sure how to get them off so I thought you could do it (if you have to charge me, go ahead) but if you could get them out and save them that would be great. If you cant get them out in a saveable condition then plase let me know so I can get them ordered so they are here by the time I get my stuff back.

Please let me know when you recieve them. Thanks, Todd

Just wondering how the frame looked after sandblasting?
Were there any crack I didnt find?

I know the welds are pretty ugly on my gussets, our welder started acting up after getting hot.

Pappy
04-05-2008, 04:43 PM
I saw a few welds that will need going over (no penetration) but no cracks were immediatley obvious, however I will giove it a once over before coating

Thanks pappy, It figures our welder works great until I get all of my gussets made and about 2 of them welded on then it starts popping and not feeding wire good....I wanted to blow it up, took me almost two days to weld those in because I had to work on the welder so much.

You think I will recieve everything back this week? Just curious because I have a race on Saturday id like to go to but if I cant thats fine too. Just trying to plan my week out.

Pappy

stem and other stem parts $25,--$45 was my bad

Awesome- it says that it is supposed to be here on Saturday, I didnt know they ship on Saturdays..thats awesome!

Couple questions about the powdercoat: I use a cleaner called citrus to clean my quad, it is basically a very good degreaser that I just spray on and powerwash it, and everything comes off. Do I have to be careful on what I use to clean my quad with the powdercoat? Will it dull the finish or like if I get brake cleaner on it will it come off?

Pappy
04-14-2008, 09:48 AM
You should only use cleaners that are paint safe. most citrus products contan acids. I onlt recommend Simple green or cleaners made purposley for cleaning motorcyles etc.
