I just put a MSR clutch on my R and it won't start in gear. Whats the problem. Thanks!

ok so what did you find out because my bike wont start in gear either. :confused:

There are two wires that connect to the stock clutch perch. If you are going to run an aftermarket clutch perch, you need to splice these two wires together.

does that go for an 04 kicker as well? it may already be done i'll check

It's been 4 years since I had the stock perch on my '04. But if I'm not mistaken, this was on the '04 as well.

Yea I didnt splice my wires and put them together. I just removed the little black thing from the stock perch, and just electrical taped it to my other wires, just dont tape over the little clicker button thing or else it wont start in gear!! Thats how I did mine and it works just fine!
