Well my 400ex has sat for about a month and today I went to go start it and nothing happened. I'm doing everything right but when i press the starter button absolutley nothing happens. No noises at all. I have no idea what the problem is and would really like some help. The engine does not crank, it does not make a clicking noise, nothing. please help.

Make sure you have it in neutral.

Odds are your battery is dead. Have you tried the headlights?

my quad you don't need to be in neutral, and i don't have the lights, because i have racing style plastics. But tommorow my friend is bringing over his battery charger.

if you have a multi meter just check the voltage at the battery.

If you dont want to wait you could pop the clutch and let the quad charge its self. Maybe:ermm:

That might not work though I dont know....

Check your wiring, my guess is the battery is deader than ****. Try to pop start her, she should fire then.

when my old battery was weak if the quad sat for only a few days it would be dead and need a charge. I'd say get a new battery they only last a couple years anyway

well my batteries only like 5 months old, but i also have another electric problem, sometimes when i try to start my quad it won't start, like nothing will happen, but then i wait a minute or roll my quad around it will fire up again, i don't know what the problem is with this either.
