Help with Fullbore 250r plastic repair (pictures)

Anyone know the best way to repair this so I can use the strap? The plastic is broken on one side where the velcro strap needs to go inside. I pulled the strap too tightly and it broke :(

i would cut a piece of medium gauge sheetmetal to about 3/8'' x 3'' and put 4 rivets in it so the strap bears against the metal. just make sure you file soft edges on the metal so it dosent cut the strap.

If I were you, I would reinforce it with a piece of metal, something thick so it won't bend or deform. I would make the contact patches on each side fairly big to increase the strength, and either rivet it in place, or use a high-strength epoxy.

Why don't you just cut another slot in a different spot?
