if anyones every used one i was wonder do you put the top on the master cylinder after filling it or do you leave it off when bleeding the brakes.

I use a Mityvac to bleed my brakes, makes quick work of it. When bleeding, leave the master cylinder cap off so that you can continue to "recycle" bled fluid back into the master cylinder during bleeding. Obviously don't let it run empty and you shouldn't have a problem. Put the cap back on when you're all done.

should the brake fluid be changed.........once a year or every 2 yrs.

It really doesn't need to be changed unless it gets contaminated with dirt/water or if you somehow "boiled" the fluid both of which are pretty rare. You would be surprised how well the brake fluids of today hold up to heat. My quad's a 2000 model and the brake fluid is still clean and works fine.
