clutch cable help

I just replaced my clutch cable because my old one broke, I installed the new one and it seems to be alittle longer because its not fully pulling the clutch. How do i adjust it to make the cable shorter so it will pull in the clutch all the way.?

there are two different ways to make an adjustment. you can make an adjustment up on the clutch lever purch, there is a threaded sleeve that the cable goes through along with a jam nut that keeps it from moving once adjusted. you can just thread the sleeve out of the perch until you have about 1/2" or so of free play. the other way is by the 2 nuts down on the side case. either of these or a combination of both should give you what you want
