If your looking for a descent place to climb some hills, hit some jumps, run through the mud, or flat out open it up this is a great place. I was there yesterday an there was about 20 quads or so, a few buggies, and a couple bikes. Three different areas to get in. I would suggest you have a bike flag. With 20 quads moving around you loose track of where people are.

All the riders I met there yesterday seemed like good people. No one was trying to an As*.

I was one of those guys you probably saw there... we kept going back and fourth between honda hills and the slags.. in our group we had my yellow 400ex with race cuts, 2 z400s, a king quad 700, and a old red bear tracker... your right though that place is pretty sweet

Womerk,

I'm probably heading out there on Saturday... Mid 50's and sunny. Ya gotta go. Feel free to flag us down. Me and my bro (Bloodmoney23) are easy to pick out if the crowd is the same. We both have MX quads. He has a black 450r and I have a black and orange YFZ450. We'll probably stay in the slags for the most part.

Please note: Anyone willing to go to the slags it is a great place to ride. Limited hassle from the police and an all around good time. People should use bike flags and practice some common courtesy.

Take 80 west to the Girard Exit (422)

Make a right off the exit and go down about 3 lights to West Liberty street.

Make a left on West Liberty street.

Go through the first light, and cross the bridge. As you cross the bridge, make a left on the first street after you cross the river. It looks like a small access road.

Pull in and head towards the tracks. Head right down the tracks about 1/4 mile. You will see a small trail to the right. Follow that into the slag pit.

Park, ride, and have fun.

I would google map it to get a general idea of where to go before you head there.

If the weather stays nice my bro and I will be gpoing this weekend. I dont know if you work on saturday, but if not we'll probably be there.

I am not a poor weather person. Rain, snow, and cold make my body ache. Whats going to happen when I'm 50?

Yeah i hear ya,my buddy would ride in the snow and cold,i have been out 1 time this winter,im more of a fair weather kind of guy;) theres good hills there to climb?

I would say they are OK. They are nothing like hillsville. I like it because its not muddy (can be dusty), its open, there are some decent jumps, and 5-O wont mess with you.

On the Girard side of the river there are supposedly some more hills, but the ones I saw were pretty chewed up by dirtbikes and weather.

The slags have more of an MX feel to me. Should have my hubs back by wednesday, ride this weekend if its nice.

I would also consider a bike flag. It can get crowded at times and not everyone is considerate.

do you go all the way across the bridge to where there is a building with "Rossler" on it or do you turn left before there midway on the bridge to where a "no outlet" sign is and you see where quads have been going up and down the hill on your right?went scoutin the area today and thats what i saw.
