Spring Fling '08, ride report/pics

Well for a chilly "spring opener" it was a great day!! showed up around 11 with the sun out!! I havnt riden in a long time so this was WELL needed. Dan did a GREAT job of getting everything ready. The track was amazing! everything was smooth with perfect take-offs. The transfer jump was definitely an experience. It just threw ya straight up. There was a pretty good turn out with about an even mix of bikes and quads and everyone seemed to get along great. There was only one wreck that i saw, Some one on a blue yfz snapped an axle right in front of me on my first lap. i wish the guy luck cause it looked like he had to case the transfer jump pretty hard to do that. Great day of riding once again but i'll just get to the pictures

lookin real good jeff! How did it feel? My ride today sucked..... brand new clutch, burnt out today. 2hrs.......:grr:

Great pics. I was at BPG last weekend. Conditions were perfect...especially Saturday after about 1/2 of snow early in the morning. The tracks were perfect the rest of the day.

Today, I drove to NCMP. I didn't know it was going to rain. It started on the way but I figured I would keep going. Bad choice...once I got there it was raining pretty hard. Only two other riders there and the track looked really wet. I drove backup home. $24 of diesel fuel and 2 hrs out of my day.

Hope to see more pics of the track. Dan made a few changes and reworked many of the takeoff ramps.

amazing man, it feels soooo good to ride again and nothing break. over there summer i think it happened 4-5 times in a row. I'm goin again next weekend if ya wanna come?

wtf how does that happen? i still have my stock clutch with a built motor and its still goin, and its an '05

tracks couldent be anymore perfect, great conditions. lots of people:eek2: very good for the track. great time as always. best track, people, food, prices ever

Great pics Jeff, thanks for posting them all. Man what a great weekend, well over 100 riders each day and no trips to the Hospital for anybody. I had a great time riding with everybody on Saturday, we really had some good riders here. Thanks to Kh426 that rider that broke his axle was able to ride again after kevin drove home to west virginia to get him another one.

I think opinions were mixed on the big new lip on the connector jump. Everyone that was clearing it seemed to really like it, and everyone that wasn't - really hated it. I think the track, being the "big" track needed a jump that made people work up to.

I'm looking forward to making some more changes in the coming weeks, including tilling in more mulch like we did last year.

I'd love to see more pics from the weekend - so post 'em up.

Ps - thanks for putting the sticker on your truck - I appreciate your support. Anyone else wanting a sticker for their truck - ask Amanda at the gate.

me too but I only have some video footage. I like the double double too but it is definitely technical to hit it correctly.

Cool pictures coolguy and flyboy!! I had an AWESOME time this weekend!! The pic of the white ltr and the blue hood is me, and the guy that broke his axle on the connector, he was with us, he's fine, that was just one of the many that he's broken so far. I do really like the new connector! It almost feels like it is shooting you straight up in the air!

I do have some cool video from this weekend, but I'm new to the whole video thing, so I don't know how to put them on the computer, and if I did, we have dial up, so it would take forever.

Special thanks to Zach and Kelly Winters and Amanda and Kevin for surprising me with a cake yesterday for my birthday!!

The tracks were in GREAT shape, and the new changes are awesome! I can't wait to go up again!!!

Me and a buddy made it up on Sunday afternoon. Man was the place packed! I think there must have been 30-40 bikes/quads on the rhythm track at one time. It looked like a free for all out there but damn fun to watch:D Dan the track was in awesome shape this weekend. I love the changes you've made to the tracks. Even though it's a small jump, I love the new double-double on the rhythm track. Also there was a ton of talented riders there this weekend....man to be young again with no fear:blah: :devil:

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed the tracks, I had a good time getting them ready and making the changes.

Our next big event is the "Swap Meet" this month on the 19th and 20th. You can bring your used or new parts to sell or trade. I've had a great response of people that are coming to ride and sell parts. So if your looking for parts then this is the weekend to find them cheap!!
