Has anyone ever rode/owned one or known someone that did. I'm trying to get peoples takes on it. I'm up in the air on whether I want one or a 700. Thanks!

I have seen and rode one. It was a GNCC quad so the motor was built and it ran like a mother. I love 250r's so of course I'm a big fan of it. But with the 450's now you can buy full out aftermarket 250r's for way cheaper than you will get that service R. There are many post on here about the service R do a search.

I have searched for it and didn't find much. My race(MX) bike is a 450R and I have a 400EX as a trail/GNCC bike. I want the 250R as a GNCC bike and I could swap over my parts.

Type in service 250r in the 250r section. You have to go back a couple pages, its been away since its been brought up.

check the hybrid forum. A guy on there just put a 250r motor in his 400ex without cutting the frame, so maybe he could make you a set and you could just drop in a motor.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I have an '86 R that I bought for a project but it needs more work than I have time for. It seems like all of them I look at have a frame that has seen much better days. Broke and welded, very poor welding I might add!
