Is anyone using the GPR damper that is sold through Kawasaki..part# K11001-128 ? The 450 has a very large stem diameter, bigger than 1 1/8"..so I could not get my stick type damper to mount up..also the aluminum downtube that is usually used to attach the other mount to is very big in diameter..same as stem..either 1 3/16" or 1 1/4".... so my question is .. does the GPR damper that is sold through Kaw just mount right up to a stock 450?

Yes the gpr is a puck style is works much better with the kfx. I have seen a stick type mounted on a kfx. It took some modifying though. You should also check out the elka system 3 and system 5. I have a system 3 and it's the best mod I've ever purchased:D

any of the puck style steering stabilizers are goin to be a great addition to the kfx. It really comes down to how much money you want to spend, what adjustments you really need, and im not sure, but alot the GPR dampers are mounted on the bars, so it depends where you want it located too. I am and always have trusted precision but i have heard good about the elka. I am pretty sure if kawi is willing to sell it through their assesories the GPR is a good one too.

Hmmmm...how did you mount it to the stem without a large 1 1/4 clamp? need a better picture..I know, i am very needy

its the same size stem as the yamahas so i used the yfz stem clamp.
