i am thinking of getting a cam. header and getting my head port and polished.( i already have a silencer) so i was wondering if it is worth getting my head port and polished since my motor is stock.

You will notice a gain.

You will notice a better gain with a high comp piston too. Bore job and a piston kit is in the $170 range. Without a doubt I'd put money into a piston before porting on a stock engine. The 400ex breaths quite well. I'm at a 416 and still won't bother with porting until I go 430 with a 450r carb.

i really don't want to mess with the motor because of reliability purposes i know the 416 kit is reliable but nothing is reliable as stock
