How heavy are the rears? I've been thinking about putting them on the Recon.

They don't seem that much heavier that the factory ones. My buddy has them on his and they dig I mean dig.....

We do alot of trail riding with ruts from the 4X4's and it helps alot with the handlebar jerk.......if you do alot of this type of riding I'd recomend getting one....your arms will thank you...

Have you had a chance to try them out yet? I thought about them, but chickened out and bought Trac Stars instead. I was afraid they'd be horrible on dry/hardpack trails only be good when it was muddy.

I run ITP Holeshot XC's on the 400 and 450, and they are absolutely indestructible! I do also run Fix-a-Flat in them all the time, and that will seal any thorn pricks without me ever knowing I got them. Never had a flat out on the trail in many years. Not a mud tire though.

On the 250's, we run the TrakStars, and they are great as well.

Mud LiteSP should be good. They 4 or 6 ply as I recall.

Your bike looks AMAZING! That's my definition of a 400EX trail bike! :)

When my stockers go the way of the Titanic, I'm gonna shoot for something along these lines. All of my buddies run Razr's and Holeshot's, but for the kind of riding we do, those MudLites would be the cats meow!

i have razrs on the front and rear of mine.. in nearly 10years of riding ROUGH trails, they have never gone flat on me.

this winter i will be restoring the bike completely this winter.. repaint the frame, stainless bolts.. everything.. and i think i will try out the itp holeshot GNCCs

I ride all trails and mud and those look like they'd do well. I used to have maxxis surtaks and they were monsters in mud.

wow those look sick! First time i have looked at a photo of all four on a 400ex.

They are mudlites but are the sp(sport quad) version. They are lighter than regular mudlites for sport quad applications. Dont everyone confuse them with regular mudlites for utility quads.

Have you had a chance to ride with the new tires yet? If you did, how do you rate them? What kind of terrain do you run on? They look awesome and I'm wondering if they would work for me, I ride mostly trails/woods with some mud. They look like they would work well in sand if run backwards.

I haven't had a chance to try them yet, but a buddy of mine with the exact same set up loves them he said "there not very good on ice" haha

I will give everyone my opinion once I have had her out which should be this coming weekend...

i tried the mudlights on my rear and I did not like them one bit. Once they get loaded with mud.. they get verrry heavy. Its not until you get to a fast spot where they shed. I put on Holeshot HDs and man these things are indestructible and bite just as good in the mud IMO.
