How far on stock fuel tank?

Anyone know how many miles you can get on a tank of gas? Its the stock tank and all thats done to the motor is full exhaust hot cam stage 2 and uni air filter. I need to go 45 miles in a race. Will I make it or not.

You will be very close on a stock tank. At our local series we run 30-35 miles through tight woods, and I can see the bottom of the tank at the end of a race. Most of the pros that run this series have to stop with ovesized tanks. But they are also running much bigger motors at a much faster pace.

It depends on what kind of track you are riding (wide open desert or tight woods racing) and how big of a thumb you have.

It depends on how fast you are. I race with AA guys who have oversized tanks and have to stop for gas. I'm a B rider and I have about a 1/4 tank left at the end of 2 hours with an oversized tank. Unless you are extremely fast I would say you will make it no problem.

It's mostly wide open desert with a little in the tight woods. I usually race the WORCS series and I can make it with about 1/3 tank left but thats only about 35 miles.

Well you just answered your question right there

So it only takes you 2/3 of a tank to go 35 miles. should be able to go 52.5 miles on a full tank then right?

........wide open desert will drop it down into that range though I would assume.
