looks like fun man! Some of those rigs are pretty nice. I'd like to do my SAS, but it probably won't get done for a while now. It's pretty much been put on the back burner, but I'll be swapping in a D35/8.8 over my weak, stock d28/7.5. What a bummer I just put all new u joints in that thing too haha.

Where you guys from?

I might take the ranger out after I'm out of school and get some wheelin in, but I'd feel a little better with the new axles. I'm tired of replacing front u joints and axle shafts haha.

the rangers do decent off road stock.

there are big plans for the jeep. Just bought a chevy 305 for it, backed by a SM465 tranny and NP208 T-case. got a set of dana 44's to throw under it as well.

we are from KY.

while we were crawling up that little rock at the end of the video, a group of quads gathered around to watch. One lady came up to us and said "If i was you mother i would beat you boys for bein out here tearin up such nice stuff" lol

haha yah I had plans for the ranger, but the budget isn't allowing it. Originally it was going to be D44 front sterling 10 1/2 out back with a 302 or 351, c6, np205, etc. but with rising gas prices, that just isn't practical for me seeing how I still do use my truck to run back and forth to the track and in bad weather. I'm am however looking around for a 4.0L. I have an M5OD, but my stock 5 speed will also bolt up. Not to mention, it already has the 4.0L clutch, flywheel, & starter. A v8 is pretty much ruled out for a while, but probably next summer, or the one after I'll look into the SAS. I just don't have the money this summer. Buying a bike and a car kinda took away from the truck fund haha.

all the stuff i am doing ot the Heep is out of the budget, but i came across a few good deals that i could not pass up.

i have all of $400 in teh engine, tranny, T-case, adn both dana 44's. for that price, i could not pass it all up.

See I have both a 351 and 302, c6, np205 and np208, d44 and sterling, but by the time I get new gears seals, leafs, coils shocks, bearings, rotors, calipers, tie rods, tie rod ends, u joints, shafts, etc, it just wouldn't work out this summer. I was planning a minimum of $1500 to do the axle swap. I mean if I do the SAS I would like it to be pretty reliable and not have to worry about it, so I would be getting CTM shafts and joints. Shafts have a 10 year warranty and the joints are lifetime. If they break, you send them back and get new ones. The downfall, That's about $900 for those two parts listed above. :eek2: Chromoly shafts are nice though!

My brother however is slowly working on accumulating parts for his rockwells. He just got his 460 block stripped down. I'm not sure what stroker kit he's looking at. I think he said somewhere around the neighborhood of 540.
