painting aluminum

im doing a complete rebuild on my quad right now and decided to go with painting instead of PC. the only thing i was woundering is how to prep and paint aluminum. im using tractor enamel paint and primer. from what i have herd aluminum is hard to paint and flakes easily.

If you can get the surfaced roughed up enough, like with a sandblaster it sticks good.

Sand it with some rough grit sand paper and spray it with primer then just paint on top of your primer. Put a couple coats of paint but don't overdo it.
