No air box/ jeting?

Thanks for all of the replies. I dont ride that much near water or dusty areas so im not actully concerned about the filter being fully exposed, but YES I am concerned about an a excessive amount of heat to my engine. So could someone explain what effects jeting my carb will have and what jet # should I go with? By the way dont hold it against me but im running completely stock, but plan on getting a Sparks power kit in the near future. Sounds like my boxless engine better not wait for that though.

i would start with a 165 main jet... leave the needle alone

usually no airbox will require to to go up in jetting (richen it)
