View Full Version : Jetting for HMF slip on

I have a HMF Ballance Slip on going on my 2005 450r and i would like to know what you suggest for jetting....im keeping airbox lid on and not cut and it has a stock air filter......is a 125 main good thats what i hear is all she needs. this right? thanks

I have the HMF slip on too, and running lid on, just as you. I run a 130 in the winter, and I also hear a 125 in the summer. Needle in stock position, and like 2-1/2 turns out on the fuel screw. Runs great...just hope it does when I switch to the 125 in the warmer months.

hey thanks alot! and yea i love my 450rs reliability and from what people say it will maintain its reliability if jetted properly. looks like im goin with a 125 and 2 1/2 turns thanks!

Amazing that from just a slip on to HRC kit, piston, uni filter, full hmf exhaust the main jet size changes a huge amount. I run a 205 or 210 main in my 05 450R. Runs perfect as well.
