Wow. I really like the fenders! I bet a quad tech seat cover would look real good. Hey j/w whats up with the hood? Do you have any other blue, or is it just an accent?

I'm going to p/c the frame a metallic blue, as well as my front arms. Once I get everything all sexied up, it should match nice. I'm also waiting for my new swinger. It should be here anyday (I hope). It's a heavy metallic pearl white.

Well, got the rest today....nothing's really bolted down (including the hood) so bare with the seams a little. It's also sort of hard to really see the texture of the carbon fiber in these, but it looks really nice in person.

The hood was made by GenX atv. It's actually for a 450. They don't make one for the 400, so I had to shave it a bit. It's so pimp in real life. The pic doesn't do it justice. The metallic flake in it is sweet.

Thats gonna be sick when its done!:eek2:

No offense, but I hate the hood. I like the stock 05 style, with the lights and all. If you got a stock hood with that blue it'd be awesome.

I'm actually really shocked that someone wouldn't like this hood, but I guess to each his own. I like the stock hood and headlight package too, but unfortunately they don't make this hood color in that style. I may or may not have stuck with the stock, but I definitely think it's a unique hood. I'm fairly certain it's a unique bike now.....not just the standard Maier front racing hood (not that those are bad or anything). I like it, and I've never seen a 400 with this pattern. :D

lol, as long as you like it thats great. Many other people do also. Im just wierd like that.

I dont like hoods on ANY quad. I mean any. I like the stock light and such.

The only time I ever thought a hood looked good was on Byrds 450r. One of the coolest lookin bikes in my opinion.

how did those fenders line up? ive never been a fan of maiers cuz they fit like crap. im digging the white c/f and blue too. was looking at doing similar to my ex hybrid.

p.s. the hood is sick!! beats the crap out of the old bug eyed look.

Honestly the plastics were a bit difficult. They definitely did not just bolt right on. The directions were a total joke, but it's not like it's brain surgery. They took a little extra drilling due to the air scoops, but other than that they fit pretty good. I've still got a little work to do, but mostly the hood is the hard part. It's fiberglass, not plastic, so it's not real forgiving. Much more rigid than the regular plastic hood.
Nonetheless, it should finish up nice.

Right now it doesn't go with your scheme at all but maybe when you get that frame done it will work a little better. Cool plastic though.
