86 and 87 seats had the bolt on front seat catch, this is an 89 seat, the catch is molded into the seat pan. The seat lock goses with the seat, sorry.

Can you give me a picture of the seat catch? I want to see the difference between yours and mine, I've never really paid attention to the differences in the seats on different years.

what size of threads is the thumb throttle looking for a 400ex thumb throttle does it take the same style cable ??

As for the 400EX throttle, you don't want to use a 250R thumb throttle with a 400EX carb. It will not open the carb all the way.

That motor is sold. I have another one for sale though. It is an 88 bottom end with this topend kit on it. The cylinder is an aluminum sleeve with nikasil plating. Ported for MX, Pro Design cool head, ESR billet flange and spacer plates.
