Im new to the whole four wheeler thing, so please bear with me.

I have access to a dyno and would just like to know the correct/best AFR for my quad (see sig)

I plan on doin a FMF jet kit, k&n filter and a slip on.

I see that everyone with this year bike suggest the 165 main but since I can really tune this thing Id like to know the proper AFR.

Thanks in advance

I think the ideal theoretical number is 14.6 to 1, with that being 14.6 parts air to 1 part fuel. But really there are a lot of opinions about what is really best.

I prefer to try to shoot for something on the rich side, more in the 12 or 13 to 1 range.

14.7 is the best AFR for fuel economy... not for performance :P

when riding at part throttle you could be at 14.7 but when you open it! you should read low 13 and maybe high 12 depending on setup and use.

Thank you very much.

That tends to be very common for most NA cars as well.

I figure why not tune it on a dyno instead of guessing jets and needle position.
