which are better for XC - hiper's carbon fiber beadlocks or regular alum beadlocks (like champions or douglas or whatever)? i know the carbon fibers are lighter and supposedly stronger and look cool and they cost a little bit more but are they really worth it?

i thought i read a post on here before about them breaking and coming apart, etc? has anybody else seen this happen or heard of it?

Actually, they are cheaper than alum. beadlocks! I've been running them for almost 1 year with out a single problem. If they do break, they have a 1 year full warantee. After 1 year, if you break any part its just $30 to replace any part of the wheel. With alum, you have to reaplace the whole wheel.

They hold up to the abuse you guys put them through, so I assume they would be fine for MX huh?

jeff do you still have your used ones for sale? - thats what made me ask the question in the first place cause i was thinking about calling you and see if you still had them. the only thing that gives me bad vibes is that i had a pair of skateboard trucks back in like 1986 that were made from what looks like the exact same carbon fiber and they were cool as **** for doing grinds & stuff - they'd grind on anything, but they wore down and cracked right through the middle in like 2 months. i'm sure the technology has changed since then and skateboard trucks are nothing like quad wheels but i just remember how pissed i was when they broke and they were only like $40.:o

Jeff,
I'm trying to get my 250r very light (Dreaming of an attitude frame here).
What's the weight advantage of the CF wheels compared to normal .190 beadlocks? Is it alot, or just a very small amount?
I bought some regular .190's for temporary wheels right now

I have been debating this also, but the high price scares me...:(

Hey jeff, could you give me any kind of package deal, etc?
Cause I'm a student, and I don't have a whole lot of money to spend, but i'm interested in these wheels!

I was just wondering what you could do as far as discounts for buying 4 wheels at once, or if you know if I can just order the parts, and put them together myself?
