I just got my yz400f hybrid and was wanting to check my oil level, it has no sump besides the engine, so im just looking for the dip stick.

You would be looking for an awful long time because you don't have a dipstick. The dipstck was in the YZ400F frame.

There should be a sight glass on the side of the motor. I cant remember what side it is on tho.

If I rember correctly it holds 1 quart with your set up. Drain it put a quart in and after running it for a few minutes and letting it cool back down, check the oil level and use that for future reference.

Hey whats up. The engine itself should take aout 7/8 of a quart. Alot of people just put a full quart in it, in which most of the time youll have some blow off with the excess, which isnt really a huge issue. Some of the dr. d wet sump kits came with a sight glass thingy that replaced your neutral switch also, in which it sounds like you have. Just be sure to have the oil warm when changing it. And with a wet sump setup you want to make sure you have ALL of the oil out of it when changing. Then just replace your filter, tip it on its side and add your oil and your good to go!

Thank you

i just put a whole quart in mine. and my 426 has a sight glass that has a red aluminum frame, which i think is the dr. d sump kit. i fill mine with a flex funnel through the top timing plug on the stator cover
