i have a '96 cr250 ignition in my 250r and i need to replace the cdi. can anyone tell me what year range will work for me? i found one on ebay that says '93-'96 but its $100, theres another one off of a '91 that looks the same in the pics for $50. it looks like '97 and later definately wont work as the wiring connection is diffrent. i havent called my local dealer, but i dont think i could trust their answer anyway. the other day i was in there and 2 out of 3 of them didnt even know what a jet needle was and when i asked for one 2 steps richer they recommended a dynojet jet kit because they couldnt figure out which needle i needed. anyway im not necessarily concerned with what a book says is the same im concerned with what will work (the manufacturer could have changed the part number for a slight change in the timing curve or something that wouldnt affect operation). let me know your thoughts. thanks happy easter.
