I JUST BOUGHT A STROKER CAM WITH THE BEARINGS, GEAR AND CHAIN. I WANT TO CHANGE IT MYSELF INSTEAD OF BRINGING IT TO MY MECH. WHAT GASKETS DO I NEED, AND DO I NEED TO TAKE THE CYLINDER OFF? PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME TYPE OF PROCEDURE. ALSO TO CHANGE THE CAM CHAIN DO I NEED TO PULL THE FLYWHEEL?

huh??? this forum is for 250r 2 strokes, no cams here. you would be much better off posting this on the powertrain forum. I don't know that much about how a 250ex works, it does use a push rod motor which is very different, which is different than most 4 stroke motors. But yes, if you have the shop manaul, tools and know-how, you shoud be able to do it. You will probably need a top end gasket kit at the least also.

for 250ex's there is a different hi-leverage cam and rocker arms that are suposed to make better and longer power. I read about on powroll's site. He may be mistaking a hi-leverage cam for a stroker cam. Either way, this is the wrong forum for that answer.
