Hey guys i have quite a few questions to those who have a 450 mxr. First of all, how are they stacking up against the other 450s? What kind of mods do you have? and lastly what did you guys pay for them? Thanks and post pictures if you have them!

Well Spanky I don't have one my self I am a proud owner of a LTR450 but I have ridden a MXR and am impressed at the atv. It has tons of power through the first 3 gears and it runs out of gearing on the top it has plenty of power I think it needs to be re-geared from stock. The MXR I had the chance to ride was bone stock and it kept up with my LTR 450 with a Pipe and CB well of coarse on the long run I had more on top but out of the hole it was right there. The one thing I loved on the bike is the hydraulic clutch that is awsome. Hope this helps

thanks man, thats what i was lookin for! How was the suspension, alright in the turns and whatnot? or did you just get to straight line drag it? Thanks

I actually got to ride it on the ice. A bunch of us race on a tt style coarse. It handles pretty good in the stock form it seems a little high atfirst but you get use to it quick. The guy that let me ride it tells me that the suspension on the mx track seems to be good but he needs to dial it in he is not sure if he is bottoming out or if its just stiff hard to tell when your riding it. I hear fox has a good suspension. I think the motor is super strong I better watch out if he puts a couple of mods on that KTM motor and I'll be chasing him down.:D

ive got a full fmf 4.1 and dyno jet and i beat ever other 450, and raptor 700s, suspension is good, but way to stiff for me(145lbs), im sending it to c and d racing for them to cut it and revavle and stuff. If you have any more questions about the 450 you can ask me.

Glad to hear the motors strong, i can only imagine one with a high comp piston and a cam wth a pipe and cutting the airbox for some more power and air. From what ive heard the airboot is a little akward, anyone see major issues with it or is it fine?

I guessmy biggest problem was with not ever riding one and not knowing how the turn and whatnot.

humm, maybe aftermarket will help out with that and that seems like it could help out!

As for it not having top end stock, it may be because the come jetted lean from the factory. A JD Jet kit should help it out. I am wanting to ride one now.

hahaha yah, that makes two of us! I went and sat on one yesterday at the dealership... the top of the seat is awfully round but other then that i am really comfortable on the bike. Also, is the subframe removable?

im not sure if the subframe is removable, im pretty sure it is, but yes it was a little weak on top end stock, but i put the dynojet jet kit in and it helped a lot, then i put the full fmf 4.1 system and that just woke the bike up a lot.

the subframe is removable. The bike comes with a 138 main jet. we've opened it up to the 180's now

Thats a big jet, I have a 175 in my 525 IRS and it has Alba exhaust and prodesign intake. What have you done to it?

The quad extreme 250x is talking about is mine. I ran the last two races last year with Neatv Def fast Great holeshots I managed to pull a third place whole shot against 30+A guys all running fully modded quads. The bike is super well balanced in the air. Baldwin are you running those jets with the stock air box or is it cut top and bottom like I had seen on the other post? In the first race I ran last year on it in Prod B ( Bike and I only had three hours together) it would pull the honda and zuk down the straits like it was a big bore. The Ice was a differnt story. On a very long straight it would tap out very quick but man do I love this thing. Plan on putting in a high comp piston and cam and jet kit. I hope I can secure a very good lead in prod by halfway point so that i can realy mod this thing out Like the baldwin bike apears to be. Let the snow melt so I can get back in shape. You will have a little ajustment period but def feels light and easy to flick around in the air! I ran The Ice Speedway race they had in lewiston ME and got 6th on a Bone Stock quad. Very awesome!

Yep it's a TC Racing/supertrapp slipon system with a modifyed airbox. no motor mods yet. we're going to run the ballance gnc and see what it does, then we'll jump back into the motor before first wpsa.

I'm waiting on parts, running a full Lone Star settup, Rath has the Alum stuff covered, flexx bars, and PEP PB1's.
