hey everyone, my brothers friend is a Marine, and he says sometimes that they use their m-16s and real assault rifles to simulate missions. but instead of using real lead rounds they have a tip that is a hard plastic and filled with paint, and they have powder and everything just not the actual bullet, does any one know what the bullets are called? im kinda stumped

I believe it's called simmunition... You have to wear body armor and it supposedly still hurts like hell!!!!

I have done some training with these rounds. They do hurt more than a paintball and you have to wear a really good mask that is rated for these rounds. If they hit exposed skin they will break the skin and one of the guys that I shot with these it actually went through his bdu shirt and into his arm. This is probley one of the best ways for training next to live ammunition.
