440ex carb

so dos anyone use a doug eichner series edlebrock carb fpr the 440ex cause i just picked one up off ebay but then seen some one say only works well when run with 100 octane is that true and how dos anybody like the carbs

i looked that up, you can run it off 91- or 93.. higher the better..

i looked that up, you can run it off 91- or 93.. higher the better.. yea it shou;ld work fine... w/e you do dont use octane booster... it ruins the o-rings in the carb.. replacing them isnt fun.. there like 2 cm's and hard to put in place.. and the carb usually has 6+.. i'd mix jet fuel with 91 pump fuel.. or 93 if any gas places offer it.. stay away from boosters as much as possble.. the orings will last a while but it wont be fun when they aventually bust :ermm:

I have the same carb on my 440. I have just finished the build last night and have yet to fire her up. I going to just premium in it. I would also like to know some info on it before i start it. Maybe some screw setting that i could start out at also.

yeam im gonna mix 110 and 92 like a 50 50 thing info on settings would be awesome i have a 440ex with stage 2 cam and open airbox full exhausty
