Its obviously a GM vehicle, but What is it. Most Gm shut off at 97 or so and have speedometers that only go up to 100.

Sir do you know how fast you were going? Yeah about 130MPH, I was hauling. I can see the cop laugh and say only 80MPH

HAHA I was about to call BS bc my 06 silverado runs at 2500 rpms doing like 75 and I knew there was no way u could do 130 and not have the rpms sky high.... but then I saw ur second post thats funny.... I wonder if his odometer is going up faster too bc that prolly works off the same sensors.... and that would suck...

computerized odometers count the revolutions of the wheels via magnets if I remember correctly. Older odometers get their mileage from the output shaft of the transmission.

Either way, it's not going by the speedometer, it's going by something else.

That wouldn't happen to be a 2005 Silverado would it? Mine did the same thing and I had to replace the entire instrument cluster!
