im not very good with the whole jetting thing. i can never seem to remember. But during deceleration it backfires alot. And when i first start it up it doesnt realy wanna stay running because of backfire. If anyone can answer my question i would appreciate it..

Back your fuel screw out a bit to richen it up.If you go more than 3 turns out or so go up the next size on your pilot.

not trying to hijack.... but i have the same problem and what is the easiest way to get to the fuel screw?

It's in a recessed hole and it faces bottom up just forward of the carb bowl behind the throttle screw bracket.

so do i have to take the tank off to get to it?

If you are talking about the gas tank which I'm sure you are then it's kind of up to you because it is easie to remove the carb that way and it makes it so your not banging things around. Just remember that on 05's and up you have to use a special D tool to change the F/A settings.
