Think he means the thin spring from the inside of the oilseal lip???

No it won't matter if you have trashed it as you are fitting new seals/bearings.

Unless he means the big circlip that holds the brake caliper plate onto the carrier in which case a new one is needed.

no its not a circlip it is litterally a continuos spring that is about as big as the bearing buts made of a really small spring. its kinda hard to explain ill take a pic of it tonight and post it.

No problem then - it's part of the oilseal for sure.

Yep - it puts pressure on the seal lip to give a good seal on the axle.

maybe just to make em easyer to come back out..., just make em so wen the seals are in they sit kinda flush with the end of the carrier opening

The "spring" may be a peice of metal that peeled off the carrier and twisted to form a spring like looking.... thing

Sorted ;)

It's part of the oilseal, trust me.

I dont know how to exactly explain this but you want the bearings to be so far in that it is difficult to move the steel collar around that is between them.
And as far as the rubber seal goes just rip that sucker out anyway possible cause if youve got the spring coming out the seal is junk !!
