'04 ltz 400 axle

does anyone know if an axle from an '06 z400 will fit an '04 z400? guy i bought this from said it would but the dealer is now saying no... any ideas

they do show different part numbers for them years ,but what the dif is i dont know

i dont think it would isnt the diffrence between the years is the swingarm and carrier?
