I am looking to get a Dual Sport bike soon and was wondering what everyone is riding and what they like/dis-like about it.What kind of upgrades you have put on and why.Pics what also be good.I am going to get one to ride to work and the trails.I have been looking at Honda XR650L,Suzuki DR650,Kawi KLR650 and a couple others.I am not set on any brand(although I like Honda best)and I am not set on any paticular size. Thanks in advance.

I have 3 dual sport bikes, 2 of them, I got the titiles past dmv. Another I bought street titled. These bike were straight-up dirtbikes. I would get a ktm 525 exc, its already street plated, or get a xr650R and get it registered. Those factory dual sport bikes(excpet ktm, husky and euro bands) have 50 lb's of junk on them and are very restricted. Alot of enduro riders change bikes every couple of years and since they need to the reg/ins(atleast in NJ), this would be a great chance to get a REAL dirtbike, throw your street stuff on and have great dirt and street riding, less weight than a factory dual sport too.
