Just checking to see if anyone else will be attending the flat track race during the monster truck show friday night. If you are let me know.

I raced in it last year, but me and my friend didn't get the invite this time. I don't know what happened. There is a possibility I will show up to watch. Are you racing or just spectating? Can anyone just show up?

You have to register at ampliveevents.com THere is a $30 entry fee for one night or $40 for both friday and saturday.

Do you know what they have planned for the track? Last year on the friday it was just the circular track with the coke syrup until we convinced them to add a couple more turns that next morning.

I'm not sure about the track layout. I didn't make it over last year so I've only ever seen it raced as an oval.

Yeah Dave you guys should. My uncle and one of his buddies are doing it and possibly Craig might run but I'm not sure.

last year on friday night it was an oval with concrete blocks on the outside, and crushed cars on the inside. Definitely avoid hitting anything if possible. It is just a concrete floor with coke syrup poured on it to make it sticky. We complained about not being able to pass, and they added a little jog in the course to give us two more corners. It was fun doing everything in front of a crowd like that, but safety was definitely an issue. Trucks had thrown straw on the to track which made it slick, and going off the track on any side was bad news.

I just talked to the guy that is organizing it. He still needs more guys to show up. It is $30 dollars each night, with a 50% payback. The shows are Friday and Saturday night. You should be there by 4 to set up for the pit party, and you will probably sign autographs afterwards like last year.

I raced both nights. For the heat races we raced on an oval with a dog leg on one side and for the final we just had an oval. I won my heat race on friday and finished about mid pack in the final. On saturday I finished about mid pack in the heat and placed fourth in the final.
