how did you guys hook up your kill switches and what kind did you use?

ive got a typical pro design and i hooked each wire to a key wire like ive done on other quads, but it only kills the motor if you put the kill cord in? if the cord is out it will start and run just fine so something is backwards, ive tried switching the wires around but that didnt help.

anyone know what is wrong?

that kill switch is supposed to ground out the coil so when the kill switch is engaged the circut is open and with the kill switch tether out the circut is Closed so you just need too hook it up to the positive side of the coil so it gounds it out the coil and kills the engine

ok, so one wire goes to the positive side of the coil-where does the other go?

brad...we make a T connector on the wire coming off the positive side of the coil. one wire will junction at this T while still utilizing the stock connector at the coil. the other wire from the kill switch is a ground

just to make sure i get it right, what color is the wire for the positve side of the coil? and just ground the second killswitch wire to the frame then?
