I tore down my 400 this winter and had the frame powdercoated. Here are some of the pics. I didnt have my camera when I did most of it so the pics are of it pretty much done.

Wow. I love the Red/Black.

Thanks dude. Now, I feel like I have to PC mine. Add some little "bling-bling" and it may just be the next QOTM!

(Your 450'r are backwards.)

Thanks for all the compliments! im definately happy with the way it turned out. I just hope the engine will hold up, i just painted it with hi temp engine paint, I have no idea how long it will last. Oh and I havent had any problems with how I mounted the shocks.

I would highly recommend it, its a blast! I just got back from a week trip down on the oregon coast. The dunes are the best place to ride.

I have to ask about powder coating the engine... wouldnt that create a lot more heat?

it'll last as long as you keep gas from touching it ;)

Its painted not powdercoated, so i dont think there would be any difference, and I didnt notice any difference all week down at the dunes.

i painted my motor in high temp aluminum color. now i wish i woulda done black tho cuz that looks awesome. my paint is holding up really pretty well. the best part is that the dirt seems to come off a lot better. also i found some high temp clearcoat and put on top of the paint. you may wanna try that, the whole thng looks awesome though. nice job

Thanks! I havent come across the high temp clear coat before. Where did you find it at? I think that would make cleaning it a lot easier.

Your bike came out great.

About the 250, my buddy put a cam and piston in his wifes bike, and with exhaust it sounds like a 400.
