I have the silencer, power bomb header and jet kit ordered from Marcums and I believe the silencer was around $239. 00 but all together they were the lowest priced of the one's I had checked into.

cutthin what i think the think that articles says is that they reversed the prices of the power bong header and the fmf Q. the prices match perfect if u switch them around.

Thanks guys, I think 400ex21 might just be right. That makes the most sense. If that is the case Marcums price is pretty good. He quoted me something like 255 to my door. Now to convince the wife that I just can't live without it.

The powercore Q isnt a fast pipe, its made to make your bike quieter than stock! Espically for like the yf25f & yz426f and all the 250cc dirt bikers that need a quiet bike. But they have the silencers for quads too, but its a waste of money i think, the pro-meg and the Q and totaly different exhausts!!! If i could do it all over again i would get the FMF PowerCore IV2 with sparkarrester, i luv that exhaust, its quiet for aftermarket yet still is real fast!!! and looks good 2!

The dyno test in dirtwheels showed the Q slipon only increased HP from stock 28.3 to a whopping 28.8. I know this isn't a large increase but the db level went from 88 to 93. My interest in the muffler is not whether or not the pipe is a "fast" one or not, noise is my primary concern. The article also showed an additional HP increase with the powerbomb header up to 29.0 HP. The dyno curve does show a little better rating in the 5800-6800 rpm range using the powerbomb versus the stock headpipe.

alright lets get the facts straight, it increases the broadness of the powerband, not a real high peak increase, just a little all over, but dynos dont show much, if you ride it youll never think it only incrersed hp half a horse,,, and its not quiter than stock unless you have some calculation that puts 88db above 93,, its not happening,,,no pipes gonna make ya p*** your pants, but if you want a better sound and cool looks, get the fmf q

I am debating weather to get the q or the iv2 i have a fmf performax it a older mega max i am switchng cuz my pipe lost its nice sound and sounds horrible so i want one wth more or the same power gains but not dramaticly loud and ive heard the iv2 on a 400ex and it is pretty loud but does the quite core end cap u can get for it make it quiter

Thanks for all the help, Im not TOO concerned about noise... the main thing was worried about was the e-series breaking on me:( my friend owns a machine shop.. im guessing they can make it like new if i decide on it.

The FMF pipe gave like a 2-3 HP increase in the power curve were it's needed most...top HP doesn't mean squat,,,get either of the FMF pipes,,i use the powercore IV and powerbong and love the power it has,,modify your airbox and you'll get even more ponies,,you'll like either pipe you choose.
