Just got a 400

I just picked up a 1999 400EX a few weeks ago. I think I'm gonna like it. Had a Warrior before. Wanted to move to a 450 but didn't have the money right now. Definatley feels better in the air than the warrior. More power too. Started riding some at a mild local MX track in late summer and decided I had to get something better suited to it. It's supposed to be a 440 though I don't know which kit. Also has a cam. When I adjusted the valves I could see the decompression mechanism is gone. Also had this stamped on it:
WW-HC GG
NO: 43
I'm thinking maybe a Hotcam? Has a Yoshi exhaust, Moose CDI, K&N filter and Pro Taper bars. The plastics are scratched up pretty bad with a crack in the rear fender and the seat is ripped. Hopefully with some TLC it'll be a solid quad. It seems to run good, though I think the Pilot jet may need some adjusting. Here's a pic before I put the heat shield back on.

I actually just got a seat cover from RMATV that's black, but I haven't got to put it on yet.

Great looking quad. E-mail the P/N to Hotcams and see if the can help you identify it.

Once you get the seat cover and an exhaust guard on it, I think it will look fantastic.

How much did you buy it for?

pretty sure thats a hotcams stage 2

i know mine had the exact # on hotcams website so i matched it, it says it on one side of the cam, dont really remember which though sorry
