ATVriders Forum Performance ?

Hello everyone, the forum has been struggling over the past month despite a brand new server due to an increase in volume of members, which is great, but it really slowed down the site.

In an attempt to speed up the performance I made some changes last night, so the forum is now loaded from 3 different servers to load balance the bandwidth, and I hope it elminates the server errors and slow response.

From my end, the forum seems faster than ever, but I need to find out how it is working for everyone else, so please let me know how it is running for you, and if you experience any errors, so I will know if I need to do even more to speed it up.

Also, if the site remains stable for the next month, I will go ahead with the upgrade to the latest version of vbb, which should add some great new features.

for the most part its been alot better, not getting the message saying to refresh. it is still sometimes slow, but for the most part it is much better.

Seems substantially faster to me Harlen. Still not the normal speed, but definitely much better!

By the way, it was nice to actually "meet" you at Mesquite....instead of just being "the guy that's with Timmy" lol.

Its faster here. Ussually took me about 5 mins to check my user CP. Not it takes under a min.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, and it is good to hear that the changes are working because I felt horrible it kept locking up this past weekend during lthe ive race coverage.

This is probably corny to some but theres one person that needs to be applauded for his hard work and for trying to get this damn site running after a few slow starts LOL, so I just wanted to take the time to say thanks to Harlen for having the best quad site on the net.

Thanks Alot, I don't get to post much in the forum as I leave that job/fun up to "Pappy", so it is great to hear a compliment because this site and ATVs are my life, and it feels great to know that so many people enjoy visiting the site.


Here is a preview of what I am also working on :)
I just released www.atvracers.com and it is a new site just for racers, and the current version is just a shell of what the finished site will be when I am done with it. Next, I will be adding alot of the new features on ATVracers.com to ATVriders.com for creating profiles and messaging other riders along with personal photo galleries

I also have started building another new site just for video sharing, which will released hopefully within a few months, so I hope these new sites help bring together even more ATV enthusiast.

Hey Admin:

On the rhino forum, you have the title as "450, 650, 700"

It should be "450, 660, 700"

I noticed in the past 2 weeks or so that it was really slow and there were errors. Before that it ran great but now after all that was fixed it runs better than ever. It seems quicker in everything to load. So everything is working great!
