When it comes to aftermarket wheels are they considerably lighter than factory wheels?

I need to buy a set of paddles for the sand and I was going to buy new wheels to mount them on so I could just flip wheels and not worry about it. However, since my sand time will be limited to a couple of times a year, I was thinking about putting my paddles on my stock rims and buying new wheels for my current tires.

Any thoughts?

most of the time after market wheels are a bit more heavy then the stock wheels bc they are stronger and made of better aluminum. if you don't ride in the sand much just use the stockers for the sand and use the aftermarkets for the dirt. i just got some itp ss112 rims all around on my exr hybrid and they are vary nice looking. they are a bit more but worth it.

like said b4. use the stocks for sand and stronger for woods. i'm running the Douglas .190 rims and i've beat the crap out of them and i haven't bent one yet.
